Bavarian Brie Spread

“Münchner Obatzda”

Ingredients

  • 250 g ripe Camembert cheese

  • ½ onion

  • 200 g cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp soft butter

  • 1 red onion

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • ½ tsp caraway powder

  • Salt and pepper

  • A dash of beer (optional)

  • garnish(optional): onion rings, chives, paprika powder

Preparation

Bring the Camembert to room temperature so it becomes nice and soft.

Finely chop half of the onion.

Mix the Camembert, butter, the chopped half onion, and the cream cheese. Either with a fork or kitchen mixer.

Season with paprika powder, salt, pepper, caraway, and optionally a splash of lager beer.

Garnish: slice the remaining half onion into rings and put on top, sprinkle with finely cut chives if you have.
